We will be posting regular updates regarding the hackathon as new information is necessary. For now, we’ll give you a quick overview of the hackathon and what you should expect.
First, the venue for the hackathon will take place in pretty much central location in Warsaw. We do not want to disclose it yet, because there will be another announcement connected with it. We are super excited about the location and cannot wait for you all to see it.
The hackathon will start at 10:00 and end at 21:00. Details like times and summaries of the different hackathon events can be found here. Be sure to give the pages a look, there is a lot of info there.
To explain the hackathon itself, here is how it will look: There will be six workshops covering six specific topics. The six workshops will be repeated 3 times each in order to give everyone a chance to hit the one they want.
There is also the 7th freestyle hacking area which will be open the entire time.
Check out a workshop, come up with a great idea and take it to the freestyle hack to explore it in more detail. Feel free to pick and choose which workshops you will gain the most from for your freestyle hack. Each workshop has a description of the talk, what you should expect, what you might need to bring (yes, you can leave your 3D printer at home. we’ve got those covered), and what tech specific mentors will be at the workshop. Throughout the hackathon there will be ‘Meta’ mentors available. Not assigned to any particular workshop, these mostly UX/UI mentors are there to help you as you need. Just a note, they’ll be most helpful in workshops #1 through #4.
Finally, if you have not signed up yet - HURRY UP!!! There are only a few tickets left for the hackathon. We will be closing the hackathon registration before the main registration ends.
As always, if you have any questions regarding the Jitter Hackathon or the event in general, get in touch with us at [email protected] If you have questions regarding particular workshops, you can find contact emails for each of the workshops in their descriptions.
